|Fungus conditions, such as yeast overgrowth or Candida usually result from an overuse of antibiotics and is very common in birds. This can be rectified without a lot of cost to you. and at the same time, our natural method of treatment is very gentle for your bird. The following products are what we recommend:|
A safe natural remedy developed specifically for fungal problems in the air sacs and lungs for a condition known as aspergillus.
This is a very gentle, non-invasive all natural approach and is more effective when combined with one or two pinches of the ProBac Adult™. which helps restore the flora balance in the body.
The symptoms are difficult, raspy breathing with the wings coming away from the body as though the bird is trying desperately to get air into the lungs.
Fungus Supplement™ is a liquid dispensed with a dropper seven to ten drops per cup of water.
Administer daily for two weeks, then allow the body to rest for five days, then begin another two to four more cycles depending upon the severity of the breathing problem. In really difficult situations, it may be necessary to continue this remedy indefinitely depending upon how badly the lungs are saturated with the fungus. It may take some time, but we have seen wonderful results in aiding the bird to breath like normal again.
|Small $18 for one ounce||Large $52 for four ounces.|
PRO BAC ADULT™
ProBac Adult™ is a powdered substance containing 20 Billion colony forming units per gram of good bacteria. It has been used in the bird industry in Europe since 1874 and hence does NOT require refrigeration. It is used either in the water, the soft food, or both. We recommend 1/8 teaspoon to a cup or less of water or sprinkled in the soft food on a daily basis until your bird is extremely healthy and then we recommend this to be used one or two times a week to maintain your bird’s excellent health.
|Small $20 for 2.5 ounces||Large $40 for 20 ounces.|
Flock treatment would entail adding one teaspoon of ProBac Adult™ along with 20 drops of Fungus Supplement™ to a gallon of water for two weeks, then resting the birds bodies for five days, then begin one to two more cycles as necessary.
If your other birds do not have the symptoms, will it hurt them in any manner, particularly if they are cage mates? Absolutely NOT if directions are followed.
Aspergillus may be caused by a fungus in the environment such as resulted from Hurricane Andrew in Florida or the floods in the farming states of Iowa, Illinois and Ohio all a few years ago. Treating the entire facilities once every two weeks with Terra Cleanse™ (our all natural organic biological) will eventually eliminate this problem from the bird’s environment. See Clean Without Chemicals. Aspergillus is also very common in Canada and in the Northeast. One needs to monitor their birds breathing closely especially in the winter time.
